    That's because when I posted this the problem was there...  4 hours later --> resolved.  Maybe someone saw the problem..  I've had this before on my Joomla sites too.. Server cache issues.

    Just wanted to point out that has not been archiving recent articles to "page 2" since the 22nd.  That means that recent articles when being moved to page 2, disappear and we are left with the articles that were already present on that date...

      I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. When I go to page 2, I see articles from the previous day. Do you see something different?

      Please empty your cache or SHIFT+RELOAD (bypass chache) to refresh page 2. This should solve an issue with older articles being displayed there.
