I like and train people up on weebly/wix etc. and don't have a problem with them, they quite cheap and, if applied well, can look as good as anything that can cost thousands.
It also takes some power away from these rip-off merchants who make people pay over the odds, and who knows, it might empower people enough to want to program HTML etc themselves.

I would like to see what people's thoughts on all these tools like Broadsheets and Wix. What does it do to those companies who build websites from scratch? Will it make managers just aim towards these free websites and end those who build from scratch? so destroying yet another industry.

I've got mixed feelings, frankly. So many website builders offer overpriced, bloated, badly-proofed products which are too cumbersome to be handled by anyone except them and so incur continuing and ever-increasing costs that any simpler, easier solution which will allow the website owner to stay in control is to be welcomed. And how many desperate business owners have had the experience of continually contacting a slow-to-respond website developer only to be fobbed off with excuse after excuse because the developer has taken on too much work or has lost interest once the initial work is done? On the other hand I agree that another industry might well be on the way out and this is always a pity.

However if any industry is placed to embrace change and (?)progress, it has to be this one which so firmly part of the future.
