The Bing Desktop would be cool if I wasn’t constantly using my browser. I understand that it’s focus was simplicity but if you’re constantly using other applications on your computer isn’t it essentially just creating an extra step? Why would I want to minimize my browser or other applications to use Bing Search on my desktop when I already have Bing Search in my browser and the desktop version just pops up your browser to display the results anyway?

Aibek Esengulov

That’s a good point actually. But there are also people who launch the browser when they need to lookup something. I suspect those people will find it rather handy.
