RootOrange – has a complicated but very effective concept. Traditionally, one domain can only cater to one website. For example, all the attorneys in the world would want to get their hands on Attorney.com, but only one person can. RootOrange changes that by letting you lease a domain name for a specific period of time. Read more: RootOrange: Lease a Premium Domain Name For Your City.

FindExif – All digital cameras add a bunch of information to each photo that they save. This information is called the EXIF data that is used to store information about the camera used to take the photo, the camera settings used, resolution of the image and other details that might help in classifying the image later on. FindExif is an online site that lets you extract exif data online and view it in an easy to understand format. Read more: FindExif: Extract EXIF Data Online.

HideBad – When bored at work we often open up a work related website in one browser tab, and entertainment websites in other tabs. When the boss walks by, we simply bring the work related website to the foreground. But this keeps the other tabs open and can be easily spotted by the boss. HideBad is something that helps us out in this case. Read more: HideBad: Quickly Hide Tabs in Firefox.

Whoever thought domains would one day be leased out like real estate. But it figures — given the availability of lesser and lesser “desirable” domain names, Root Orange sounds like a great idea.

However, the terms of use need to be crystal clear specially concerning how domains are actually used by the temporary owner. As long as the implementation is done with the possible scenarios in mind, it makes for a very smart concept.
