I sense that this “cool website and tools” post is going downhill. It’s fine to ask those who want priority to pay something to get published, but just because they’re paying doesn’t mean they should get listed here instead of someone else with a better site or tool.

Please don’t list any website or tool you don’t think anybody can use. No offense to this website, but do you seriously think any large amount of people would want to do a video chat with some random stranger? I’m sure there’s those few eccentrics, but not the majority of us.

Please keep good content as a more important goal than more money. If you do, I’m sure the money will come.

That being said, keep it up! Except for this problem, the posts here on MakeUseOf are excellent and I love them! Thanks a bunch!

I thought this directory was websites and tools chosen by your writers as well as ones submitted for money.

In that case, I guess I can’t really say anything. If only people who pay are in these posts, than at least choose useful ones.

Thanks!

MakeUseOF Directory does offer an option to submit an app for consideration via so called “FastTrack” review, but that merely that our editorial team will address the recommendation email instantly, it doesn’t guarantee an acceptance.

As for choosing which apps to publish or not, that’s completely up to the author. What may be useful toone can be useless to another.

Wow that map of the market screenshot is cool. I don’t understand it at all but the way they present the info is very unique and I can see that catching on. I’ll probably have to learn to read those graphs someday hehe.
