(1) MoveOutlines – Interesting Google Maps Mashup that lets you visually compare countries, lakes and landmarks one to another on the map. It allows you to outline any part of the world and easily compare its size with any other place on the planet. (2) AlmostMeet – Online group collaboration application where users can meet and interact in real time. Unlike WebEx, Dimdim or Yugma which are optimized for one person presenting to many others, AlmostMeet focuses on small group collaboration where everyone’s an equal participant. (3) NextStop – This site helps you find new and interesting places to visit through short, positive recommendations and local tour guides created by local citizens or those who have visited the place. You just need to type in the name of the city and select the keyword, such as places to eat, park, bar etc. The site will then display all the places that have been recommended by others. (4) ServerFault – User contributed Q & A site for system administrators, IT professionals or anyone who has to deal with server problems and network related issues. Users can ask and answer question without registration. Questions are sorted according to their popularity, as measured by the number of views, answers and votes. (5) StripedBGs – Simple online tool for making striped backgrounds with 5 colors. Just fill in the RGB color codes below each stripe and see the effect immediately.
