Guitar Tuner – This free app is the modern equivalent to a tuning fork. Guitarists have become accustomed to tuning “by sight” which is great for a loud bar, but to improve pitch and musicality, they must learn how to listen closer. Tuning the guitar by ear forces critical listening and has no display to reply upon. It encourages heightened sensitivity to sound and this translates to greater sonic awareness. Imagine a time when all musicians had to use a tuning fork to tune their instrument. It wasn’t that long ago, but they managed to make amazing music and compositions. 123 Guitar Tuner is bringing back the tuning fork and doing it for every instrument.
