Hey Aibek, is MUO now part of the Church of Scientology cult?

How else are we to understand these links?

He is definitely your Erez – his Twitter feed also mentions the church.

    Enquiring minds want answers, Aibek.

Replying on behalf of Aibek, as the comments manager:

Really don’t know about this. Guess the author himself will get back to you :)

MUO is not a part of Church of Scientology cult. Nor it’s a part of any other cult other than the cult of “tell everyone how to make use of cool websites and software”.

When it comes to Erez, it’s not my business what’s he is up to outside his work at MUO. His work on MakeUseOf is all that matters to us and he is good at it, http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/author/erez/

      Aibek

So to clarify, he could be literally anyone and it wouldn’t matter?

Anyone? No! But someone’s personal believes has nothing to do what we are doing here at MakeUseOf. Our job is to educate people when it comes to web and software and these are the factors we are looking at when hiring someone. In the same way our authors will never impose their religious or political beliefs onto others.

Great answer and way to look at things Aibek. Kudos! If the guy is pulling his weight – who cares what he does outside of work as long as he is not endangering himself or others. He could be sacrificing his free time for volunteer work, praising Jah, Mohammed, or the pope. Also I myself think the Church of Scientology is a bit secretive and odd in it’s behavior at times, but Ano – labeling it a cult….that’s a gray area of sorts. Maybe you know more about the secretive “church” than I do & maybe you have reason to be concerned but I’ve found it counterproductive to put labels with negative connotations on anyone. Just my .02 :-)
Now back to this book I’m reading called Dianetics you should really check it out….jjk!
