Cool Software and Websites: (All free unless stated otherwise)

  • Arrested Development - critically acclaimed and hillarious TV show about formerly wealthy and extremely dysfunctional family. Here you can freely watch (100% legal) all episodes from season 1 and half of season 2. In case that ‘legal’ term doesn’t really bother you than check out recently covered A+ destinations to watch TV shows for free.
  • CyberHomes - search over 100 mil. property records online. Monitor prices, get alerts on selected homes/neighborhoods/schools, etc.
  • Deliwin (Win) - a del.icio.us bookmark manager client for windows. Lets you store and access all your bookmarks right from the system bar.
  • FeedShake - web-based service to customize, filter, convert and merge newsfeeds and podcasts.
  • MP3myMP3 Recorder - lets you save any audio you hear on your PC (i.e. from your favorite web radio) straight to .mp3 or .wav file.
  • Moody (Mac, iTunes) - cool iTunes addon that lets you mood tag your music and create mood-based playlists. Demo (Quicktime)
  • NanoScan - free web-based virus/spyware scan from Panda Software.
  • Screencast-O-Matic - lets you create a video recording of your screen (aka screencast) and host it online for free.
  • Wakoopa - Wakoopa is like last.fm of software world. It tracks what software/games you use, and puts it in your Wakoopa profile. It’s also a pretty good destination to find out about popular PC programs you may never have heard of.
  • Widefox (Firefox) - widescreen-optimized addon to make widescreen navigation more user-friendly.

    found your blog recently from a link on another…cant remember where. wow…what a great collection of links! some fun ones and a lot of productive ones too. esp love the ‘extras’ posts and the ones where you keep a running list of a certain type of site …like the giant list of TO DO list sites etc. still working my way back thru the archives. thanks for all your good work!
