Cool Blogs and Tips (edition #100)
In makeuseof extra 99, someone asked me if I am planning anything different for #100. Although I hadn’t thought about it back then, it did sound like a good idea. After all, reaching # 100 is in itself a milestone. After giving it some thought, I decided to dedicate this extra to ‘Tech Blogs by MUO readers’.
Obviously, there are tons of tech bloggers who read our posts :-), including some giants like LifeHacker, Gmail and DownloadSquad. Nonetheless, here I would like to focus on the smaller ones: Blogs that I discovered either through our comments, referral stats, or through direct emails contact. In case I missed yours, no hard feelings, just post it in the comments.;-).

(1) DonationCoder - “for software connoisseurs” (by Jesse Reichler) - Rather than a blog it’s a community where PRO coders showcase their freeware programs. Lots of free cool software here.
(2) FreewareGenius - “Some Day All Software Will be Free” (by Samer Kurdi) - Samer does an excellent job at finding those little know freeware gems. Again lots of cool free programs.

I found this article very interested. I am just getting introduced to blogging and the websites you link to were informative as well. Do you have any suggestions for small business blogging websites? I would like to share iBank with other bloggers out there, as a tool for small businesses to get the loan they need to get their businesses going.
Suggestions? Hmmmm….. I guess posting ‘Quality Content’.
Great list, some I wasn’t familiar with. DonationCoder.com is definitely a different animal, and never dull.
That is awesome! I remember that I asked you if you were planning to do something different for #100. Great to see that you came up with this and HEY I am listed
It feels so good to see that my mini blog (which has around 250 posts in it) is read by people like you.

http://www.asktheadmin.com where we offer FREE technical support and get crapped on by jealous fools.
So after being a loyal reader and getting all excited that people I look up to decided to shout me out - oh wait then they decided to tell us we are plagerists - wtf? Where is this coming from? Care to enlighten me or just bad mouth me?
Hi Karl
Sorry buddy, I can’t tell you about the source of the email. But it came from a rather established tech blog. I poked around the ATA and found following disclaimer.
“”"”"”"
So as you can see people ask The Admin questions and he and the community give their answers. They also pull stories and blog postings from other sites giving a byline and link to the original story. If you you want content from your site not to be included in The Admin’s postings please send us an email to LEGAL at askTheAdmin dot Com.
“”"”
I think that clears things up. So, I will add your link again. I also emailed the the person who complained about it so he might reply shortly.
Thanks for the swift follow up guys.
So this ATA from number 7 really helped me out. that was a swift response to my rather dumb question. But I meat they responded in about 15 minutes with the correct answer. SCORE! definately worth favoriting
This is a great list, I’ve actually already been using the Ask The Admin site before. great list!
