So you aren't a graphic designer, don't own image software, but do need a logo for your business or organization? For simple and quick logo creation, you can take advantage of several cool Chrome apps. Some are very basic, while others are full-featured. But either way, you can crank out that company logo in just minutes with these awesome options.
Keep in mind that these Chrome apps do require internet access.
1. Logo Maker
If you are looking for a basic tool for creating a logo with your company name and slogan, check out Logo Maker. You just type in the business name and motto, choose the font sizes and colors, and then pick an icon.
You can then browse through various font styles for that perfect look and feel. This is a terrific feature for mixing and matching colors and styles for your text. You can also add a hex code if you have a specific color you want or adjust the RGB.
When you finish, click the Create My Logo button and you will receive both a PNG and GIF of your logo.
2. Text Logo Maker
Another easy tool for creating a logo with your business name is Text Logo Maker. As the name implies, this application provides a simple text-based logo. You just enter the name of your company and select the font style.
While you cannot add an image to the logo, you can adjust the settings for the text. Pick colors for the words and background, add a shadow with color, and select the size.
Click the Make Logo button after any changes to see a refreshed preview and when you are done, click Download (PNG) or Save to Drive (Google Drive).
3. Textcraft
If you like the idea of a text-based logo but are looking for unique elements, check out Textcraft. This app provides neat 8-bit style text options for those casual logo designs. Enter your company name with two optional lines underneath. Then, have some fun with the editing tools.
You can select font styles from popular games like Minecraft, Pokemon, or Grand Theft Auto. You can then adjust the text size, pixel count, and colors. Turn your design into a 3D style, add shadow, or give it a glow effect. Your design will appear at the top as you edit so that you can view the adjustments you make quickly.
When you finish your design, click the Download button and you will receive your logo as a PNG file.
4. Logaster
With Logaster, you can design your text-based logo with a creation wizard. Enter your company name, an optional slogan, and then choose your business type from options such as auto, computer, or sport. Next, you can browse through a variety of logo concepts that show the business name you entered for a nice preview.
If you decide to edit your design, you can change the icon, include a background color, add shadow, and adjust the text. When you are happy with your logo, click the Save button and you will see a variety of options. You can purchase a "brandkit" that includes business card and envelope designs or specific image types and sizes.
Alternatively, you can download your logo files for free. Note that the free files include a watermark and are small sizes. You will then receive a ZIP file that includes variations of your logo.
5. LogoGarden [No Longer Available]
LogoGarden is an easy-to-use tool for creating a logo with both text and images. You can search for symbols that match your business type or select an industry from the drop-down box. Next, you can add text if you like, such as your company name.
All elements that you choose can be edited, resized, and formatted to suit your needs. You can turn symbols into badges, change the text shape, and pick colors for all items. When your logo is complete, click Save & Download Your Logo from the top.
The only snag with this app is that you must purchase your download files. However, LogoGarden does offer business cards, a matching website, apparel, brochures, and other items that you can buy as well.
6. Designapp Graphic Design
Another cool tool for creating logos that include text, images, or both is Designapp Graphic Design. You can start with a blank canvas or import an SVG file. You can begin by browsing icons and shapes which are grouped by industry and object. Then, add text by choosing from a large selection of font styles.
The design editor provides many options for you to edit your logo. Choose colors, shadow, opacity, or gradient. You can also adjust the canvas settings for snap, grid, and size.
To obtain your logo, click the More (three-dot icon) from the top right and select Save & Download Design. You can have the logo emailed to you or download it immediately as a PNG file.
7. YouiDraw Logo Creator
YouiDraw Logo Creator goes beyond basic by providing illustrations, emblems, and cartoon image options in addition to its letter-based offerings. Or start with a blank canvas if you have an idea in mind. You can sign up for free and use a host of shapes, text, gradient, and other tools to create a fantastic logo.
The editing tools include fill, transform, opacity, and alignment settings. And you can work on more than one logo at a time using the tab feature. Then, click the Export button to obtain your logo as a PNG or JPEG image and scale it beforehand if needed.
