Hello folks, welcome to MakeUseOf 2.0. Our new theme is finally out, and being live-tested right at the very moment. Check it out, spend some time on the website, play around with navigation menus, and please tell us what you think. Hope you’ll love it as much as we do. If by any chance you come across something that looks too small, too big, or doesn’t show up at all, drop us a line by email or right below in comments.

In case anyone wondering who are the people behind design work, go straight to UniqueBlogDesigns.com. Unfortunately, unlike most of the MakeUseOf recommended stuff, UBD is not free. Depending on your needs a theme may cost you anywhere between 80 and 700 bucks. However, while this may sound like a lot of money, it’s far less than what you would normally pay for professional (and reliable) design services.

Along with the new theme, I am glad to introduce you to ‘Geeky Fun’: a brand new MakeUseOf section where will post funny videos and pictures for tech-minded people. You don’t have to be a techmaniac to find it entertaining, it’s pretty much for everyone, the only difference is that it’s focused on web culture and tech. See some of the first additions below …

    I’m sorry, but I didn’t find any of those videos to be the least bit funny. It’s not that I didn’t understand them, it’s just that they weren’t funny to me.

    But hey, it’s a neat idea.

    I loved the way your site used to look. That’s one of the reasons I actually kept coming back – because the layout was so simple.

    I hate to be the one to criticize… but man, I’m disappointed.

    I really liked our previous template as well, the problem it didn’t provide enough flexibility for integrating additional aspects. There were no place for embedding ads, ‘latest articles’ feeds, or even list all of the important pages.
