Hi Tony, Thanks for commenting. As far as I know, if Websense blocks that domain “gmail.com” then Pop Peeper won’t be able to get out to pop.gmail.com, so you’re probably out of luck. However, if you’re brave and don’t mind risking the wrath of the security admins, you could always give FreeProxy a try and set up your own proxy server to bypass those firewalls… (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-get-into-blocked-websites-in-school-with-freeproxy).

Does that work if all of your emails are blocked by Websense? (gmail, yahoo, etc)

i’ve been using this software for about a month and its pretty good. it is a little bit slow sometimes and sometimes it becomes non-responsive, but overall i’m really happy with it. however, when i used to have a blackberry, i had no use for this type of software. but since i don’t anymore, its nice to have this.

Nice Post!!! i will try this once…. I am using my thunderbird with four accounts configured to it my companymail, personal email and other solely for internet purpose…

i am using all my email accounts using imap access so i dont really download everything to my inbox yet i recieve automatic notification whenever new mail comes

and other thing is with thunderbird you get a loads of extensions i use lightning with thunderbird to sync my gmail calendar with tb extension
