I do not know your policy of what can or cant be said here so I wont go into how its done. Though you can search Pizentu on youtube and see a video showing me using my video in the Alive Video Wallpaper app. Its Named “Testing Video Wallpaper apps for Android.

Really not trying to spam and promote myself. I like using video wallpapers and being able to use my own videos is awesome. Just wanted to share that it is possible.

I suppose the developer just allowed it for all devices because there’s so many and he can’t test them all.

Google Play should tell you if your device is compatible with the app. Just below the big box with the app name and the install button (guess you can call that the title box?) is a message confirming its compatibility with your device.
