Christmas is coming, and Amazon is in the mood to be festive and generous – if you buy one of their Android phones, that is. According to this Amazon.com page, if you buy an Android phone from the selection on offer, you will receive 50GB of free Amazon Cloud Drive storage for one year. But you have to buy before December 31st, 2013. Ho! Ho! Ho!

The phones on offer are all good ones – the Nexus, the Samsung Galaxy, the HTC 1, and according to the terms and conditions, the free 50GB of storage will be applied on top of your existing free 5GB within 10 days of purchase, and you will be emailed when it is done. Of course, once the year is up, you will be given the opportunity to renew the storage for another year at the regular price of a few dollars. So you don’t need to worry about your important files being deleted after the year is up.

So if you are currently in the market for a new Android phone, or if you are struggling to figure out what to buy for your nearest and dearest for Christmas, then this might be the bargain of the century for you.

Since this is Amazon.com though, the offer is valid for the United States only.

The article is misleading. The cloud storage is the Amazon Cloud Drive, not Google Drive - which would be a much better option, despite the "NSA" label from previous comments

Google is desperate to get users to use their junk NSA cloud.

Does anyone know when's Moto G is going to be available to the US? Motorola says it's going to be on December 9 while Amazon states it on the 11th.
