BootRacer: Measure How Long Windows Takes To Boot Up

Are you curious how long your PC is taking to boot up? A slow boot speed can be annoying, and a fast boot speed is something we kind of take for granted. The Windows app called BootRacer is designed to bring boot speed to the forefront by telling users exactly how long their computer took to get fired up and boot into Windows.

BootRacer allows you to save your times in an archive, so if you make some adjustments, you can see exactly how much of a difference they made compared to previous boots. You may not even realize your computer is booting slowly if you are used to it, and if you don’t know that there is a problem, there is no way for you to fix it. BootRacer lets you know there is a problem, but unfortunately  it does not offer tips on how to fix it.

You will have to figure out what exactly is causing a slow Windows boot time. It would be nice if the app offered recommendations for speeding up the process, but it is usually just too many programs running. Disable some, and run the test again to see if it has improved.
