Wow... that works almost as well as... Spaces, the standard feature already built into Mac OS X, though the Spaces interface is smoother and much easier to navigate. Now just add ObjectDock and some cooler app icons, load in Style XP Man and StypeXP or iPanel to change the taskbar, background, and login screen, install the Mac OS X boot screen, change the toolbar icons and voila... you have something that's almost a Mac. Just be sure to run your virus checker a few times so your XP system is clean enough not to crash and you'll come close to emulating the experience... or just save yourself the trouble and buy a Mac ; )

So basically, you are blaming your ineptitude at compiling cutting edge kernels ( not advisable on anything but a test system anyway ) on Linux? Quit playing with the kernel! When a new one comes out you'll get it in your automatic updates ...all in good time. It will work with no intervention from you.

Since Linux runs 85% of the world's top 500 supercomputers, Google and the New York Stock Exchange, I would think it would be stable enough for you to post comments. Again, you're giving people an impression that simply isn't true ...except when you go out of your way to shoot yourself in the foot as you have done.

Should I announce that Windows sucks because I like to play with the registry?

"Yeah, so I hear you can speed up XP with this really cool tweak to the registry ...anyways, now my computer doesn't work ...XP sucks!".

You like Windows? Fine, but stick to facts. Just say that you prefer Windows and be done with it.

I use Ubuntu 8.10, I'm not saying it's bad. I like it, not that much but I give credit where credit is due. And Ubuntu is a very good OS. Perhaps it's my problem but I can't for something till it's stable. I keep downloading the pre-released kernels, sometimes I just get the source and compile it if I heard of a great new feature in that next edition..

And that's exactly why it's taking me 3 crashes on my Firefox to post this comment :)

Cheers,
P.S. sorry Linux fans, I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings

@Eyad Salah

Please try actually using Linux before commenting ( that Red Hat disk you tried half-heartedly in the 90's doesn't count ). Your one-time anecdotal experience does not count as a defining experience for us all. My parents ( mid-60's ) use Linux with no issues and are not CS graduates.

I have been using "Yod'm 3D v1.4" on my XP/Vista PC, is also good (Portable as well, google it for freeware download link), You can virtually rotate with 3D effect. You can see preview of other desktops before actually shifting. Desktops v1.0 from microsoft/sysinternals also does similar job (I think its portable too).

Linux: Wherer is takes less than 10 minutes to get a new kernel. If you're lucky enough, it'll work ;)

Hello Eyad,

I understand where your coming from. According to what I've found on Cnet it says that WindowsPager is compatible with x64. Thank you for your comment!

One should mention that this sort of thing is already included in every standard Linux installation.

I was wondering if this tool is x64 compatible because the website doesn't mention it, and I'm sick and tired of installing incompatible applications on my computer
