Block Calls On Your BlackBerry with CallsBlocker
Have the telemarketers managed to get a hold of your cell phone number? Are you sick of having to ignore unwanted calls? With CallsBlocker you can block calls on your Blackberry and never have to deal with unwanted calls ever again!
CallsBlocker is a great free Blackberry call blocking software written by Fabian Heuwieser that allows you to block unwanted calls a few different ways. In the application screen, you can enter individual numbers you want to block and block numbers with certain area codes (such as 800, 888, 866, etc.). There are also options to block private, unknown, and withheld numbers.

You can also block numbers from your contact list.

And finally, you can block numbers from your call log as well.

Just visit the CallsBlocker download page, and you can send it to your BlackBerry via SMS or email. You can also download it to your PC and then transfer it to your phone with a data cable.
Although the product page states the minimum requirements are a BlackBerry Storm, Berry Reporter confirmed with Fabian that it should work on all the devices, not just the Storm. Thomas Magsaysay, the author of the Berry Reporter article confirmed first-hand that it does work on a BlackBerry Bold.
What do you think of CallsBlocker? Do you know of any other free tool to block calls on Blackberry?

This app sucks. I installed it on my BB Bold and it does not block anything. No 800, 877, anon, etc are blocked even though the numbers are listed in the app for blocking.
Piece of shit!!!! Get it together and fix this.
I AGREE! It does not block anything
please dudie come now help us out
Agree 100%, simply doesn’t work
(Comments wont nest below this level)This software doesen’t work at all on storm as well..i tried workin on it many a times … try gettin an improved version which works on storm .
this is SHIT!!
I have the blackberry bold and it worked for me. It took a minute but I figured it out. When you block a number the person can still call you but the what is so sweet about the software is that it sends the caller straight to voice mail. You will have miss call but it will go to voice mail every time.
It doesn’t work on the bold!!!!! I tried some many times
I agree. This is shit. Doesn’t work. Never ever use it again.
guys it works for me on my Curve 8900..
Make sure you go to Options, Advance options, Applications and go to Callblocker and change its Permission for everything to Allow.
Should work then, as mine wasn’t working untill i changed its settings.
Enjoyy
Does it block SMS as well?
I Can’t speak for everyone but it worked on my 8350i like a charm. Had a bitch that started Stalking me after i cut off her regular supply of Good Dick. The first night she started bugging I Googled the app and it works like a charm!
but having a missed call show up is irritating too
this application is too soon to be released. I think the programmer not doing enough test, he is too sure about this application. for me this application can not used …
would anyone know is this app can block calls and SMSs from callers/sms’ers who do not use a number but an “alias”? Otherwise, does anyone know how to find out the number or an application which performs that function?
I’m not aware of a way to block those that are using aliases.
I have the blackberry bold and I use the software called iCallManager Light 1.2.8 which comes along with the Black and Whitelist 1.5.1 application and it works great. When an unwanted, even blocked number calls, it picks up and hangs up on the caller and doesn’t not send it to my voicemail. You just have to make sure you set the Blacklist preferences to Blacklist, Reject, Hang Up. Great application that actually works on the bold!!!
Works for me, blackberry storm 9500, had to go to advanced settings -> applications -> Callblocker, and set all to allow, 2 different settings. But my phone still gets a quick buzz :s, connections is ended at eother end, no voicemail possible, so it works in that way
this app works great…I have the BB Pearl 8100 and it the app hangs up the call and doesn’t allow voice mail. Make sure and set your application setting and reboot – take out the battery.
Hell it works on my BlackBerry Tour 9630! Great software!
