Bic for Her And Other Must-Read Funny Amazon Reviews

Ads by Google

funny amazon reviewsWe’ve already taken a look at funny Amazon reviews in the past, but thanks to a colossally dismal marketing idea on the part of Bic, creating a line of pens especially for women, we’ve once again gone digging for some of the more humorous reviews on the site.

The Bic for Her reviews alone are a treasure trove of hilarity, with a ton of hilarious little tidbits worth highlighting, but there are also quite a few more amusing and creative pieces of writing accompanying quite a few of Amazon’s more eccentric products.

Along with the Bic for Her pens, there are also a couple of books, an ill-thought out kids toy and even one review for a wall mount, proving that your next laugh on Amazon could be pretty much anywhere.

Bic for Her

amazon reviewsOn both Amazon’s UK and US sites, users are ripping right into the new line of Bic pens catering specifically to women. With a product like this, the hilarious reviews practically write themselves. With over 400 UK reviews and almost 600 US reviews, there’s a lot of material to choose from. Not only have Amazon users left hilarious reviews of the very poorly thought out pink and purple products, they’ve even added a few amusing product photos of their own, complete with a lot of pink, and a requisite unicorn.

One of our favourite reviews comes courtesy of the UK site:

As a MILLIONAIRE AUTHOR of BESTSELLING TECHNO-THRILLERS, I have to say that I was very disappointed with this pen. Whenever I tried to write punchy, in-your-face prose about the nuclear payload capabilities of the B-2 Northrop-Grunmann stealth bomber, I found myself instead writing about shopping, cocktails and friendship. And when I tried to write the title ‘OPERATION CRISIS POINT’ at the top of the page, I found myself writing ‘DIARY OF A THIRTYSOMETHING’ instead. Is Jeremy Renner gonna want to star in the movie adaptation of that? IS HE HECK.

Bic for Her has been such an inspiring product, it even got one Amazon user to write a sonnet about it.

A word of warning when it comes to these reviews in particular – it’s probably best not to start reading them unless you have a significant chunk of time to waste, otherwise you might find yourself procrastinating the day away on Amazon.

Microwave for One

funny amazon reviewsBic for Her is a tough act to follow, but a few of the reviews for the book Microwave for One caught our eye. The listing doesn’t give away much about what the book is all about, but the title and cover are all that were needed to inspire one Amazon to write this hilarious review:

After the divorce my diet consisted primarily of uncooked ramen and whiskey. Occasionally I wondered aloud if I’d ever have another home cooked meal again.

Then I discovered “Microwave for One” and everything changed.

My favorite chapters were:

Chapter 1: Plugging in your Microwave and You

Chapter 4: How to Wait 3 Minutes

Chapter 11 [BONUS CHAPTER]: Eating with Cats

In closing, I give this book 2 thumbs up (and a paw!). Thanks Sonia Allison!

Microwave for Her is just one of a few books we’ve stumbled across that bring out the funny in Amazon’s reviewers, with a couple more making it onto our list.

How to Avoid Huge Ships

amazon reviewsThere is one review of How to Avoid Huge Ships which will no doubt have you cracking up at your computer screen. Like Microwave for Her, beyond the title and cover, the book doesn’t give away much about what to expect. Despite that, the creativity of the feedback doesn’t disappoint, and the following review is absolutely brilliant.

I bought How to Avoid Huge Ships as a companion to Captain Trimmer’s other excellent books: How to Avoid a Train, and How to Avoid the Empire State Building. These books are fast paced, well written and the hard won knowledge found in them is as inspirational as it is informational. After reading them I haven’t been hit by anything bigger than a diesel bus. Thanks, captain!

Playmobil Security Checkpoint

Sometimes the product gives Amazon users the chance to poke a little fun at more than just what’s being sold on the site. That is the case with Playmobil Security Checkpoint which has turned into something of a mocking ground when it comes to TSA regulations. The little toy airport security checkpoint has unleashed some pretty amusing hilarity the way of the TSA:

I was a little disappointed when I first bought this item, because the functionality is limited. My 5 year old son pointed out that the passenger’s shoes cannot be removed. Then, we placed a deadly fingernail file underneath the passenger’s scarf, and neither the detector doorway nor the security wand picked it up. My son said “that’s the worst security ever!”. But it turned out to be okay, because when the passenger got on the Playmobil B757 and tried to hijack it, she was mobbed by a couple of other heroic passengers, who only sustained minor injuries in the scuffle, which were treated at the Playmobil Hospital.

Cheetah Mounts Flat Screen TV Wall Mount Bracket

While the majority of the 1000+ reviews on the Cheetah Mounts Flat Screen TV Wall Mount Bracket are standard reviews, for a pretty standard product. That said, there’s one in particular that really stands out. This listing is proof that you never know where you might find an amusing  and creative reviews:
