I tried Mikogo and although it has plenty of nice features, there is one HUGE drawback: clients have to download an *.exe file in order to join the meeting!
You might hate corporate looks, but for sure you won’t be using Mikogo in such an environment.

Wow. I have been playing around with Mikogo today and it couldn’t be easier. Trying to explain how to do stuff over the phone to clients and family is a pain sometimes, and didn’t really want to pay $50+ a month for this type of service. I give it 2 thumbs up.

I read the “do you hate its corporate feel?” and thought “what could really be different?” Well, giraffes, for one. Much friendlier. I think that while I’m wrangling with IPs and firewalls, I’d really rather be running mikogo. I’ll have to try it out, thanks for posting!

It’s a shame that Mikogo is just for Windows and Mac.I am looking around for a software that can work on the Linux OS. Can anyone help?

I agree with the others here that Teamviewer is great. Speed is good and you can’t beat the price. But it seems that it’s mostly for remote support, not online meetings.

I’ve tested a lot of online meeting applications, and like Yuuguu. It has a free version and a $9/month version. So thanks for the info on Mikogo. I’ll see how it stacks up.

I recently did my homework in this area and found a whole host of options out there for free online screen sharing and collaboration suites. Some are easy to use and some offer more functions.

A few of them:
LogMeIn, DimDim, ShowMyPC, Open a Circle, Vyew, TalkandWrite, and many more.
