You will find numerous desktop applications that help you read PDF files. But when it comes to PDF editing, you will find that the most competent solutions come with a price tag attached. Here to be an exception to that rule is a desktop app called BabyPDF.

read edit pdf files

BabyPDF is a desktop app compatible with Windows computers. The app is an 11MB download and installs in a jiffy. You can use it to read PDF files with the regular reading options such as rotation and magnification. But in addition to these tools you can also edit the PDF files by selecting a portion from the file page and using tools from the wide array of editing tools available. These include pens, drawing tools, text adders, etc.

You can save the edited PDF separately; the edited pages will have a watermark in their bottom left corner.

Mohit - use OpenOffice or LibreOffice...

Makes PDFs with everything you'll need... anchor links, photos, Contents, Index, Bibliographies... and it is free. Will also almost always act compatiable with Word files.

Can it create Anchor Links within the pdf?? I read an article, about a week earlier on makeuseof, on how to create links etc to pages in a pdf using Photoshop Builder and Adobe Acrobat. Since I don't have any of them, I was hoping to find a free pdf editor which could let me create a "Catalog" like pdf for a company's product catalog.

Any help on this regard would be great..

    From their site:

"Note: BabyPDF will add a watermark at the button of the edited pages."I assume "button" should be "bottom".This is a HUGE drawback as far as I'm concerned.
