For those of you who spend hours at a time online, dinner time can pass you by before you know it. Now there’s a way to stay online and serve dinner without leaving your computer chair! Sounds like heaven? Read on to find out how to order pizza online!

The most popular national chain pizza restaurants like Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Papa John’s, offer an order now or online order option.

Follow these steps to order online from your favorite pizza place:

Order Pizza Hut Pizza Online

Click on the “Order Now”.

Choose the “New Customer” to start your order.

Decide if you want carry out or delivery.

Put in your address and zip code.

Click the “Custom-Build your order”.

Choose from many different types of pizza’s, pasta’s, and desserts, and be sure to click the “Add to order” below each item you wish.

In the top right corner of your screen will be a “My Current Order” box that will give you the total amount of items to be purchased. Once your order is complete you can “Find a Coupon” or click the “Check Out” button. You can also edit your options from the “My Current Order” box from delivery to carry out or vice versa.

The online order process for Pizza Hut is really simple. Besides choosing your pizza, pasta, or dessert, it only takes a few clicks to place your order. The site design and navigation are very well done. You can’t miss the huge yellow “order now” button.

Pizza Hut also has a widget for your desktop. They used to refer to it as “Pizza Hut Shortcut” but it seems they now call it Express Checkout. Both widgets are pretty cool. Instead of dealing with going to Pizza Hut’s website you can just click on an icon on your desktop and order from there.

The standard of service for Pizza Hut sometimes falls short. Apparently, when you place an order online, the order prints on a printer in the kitchen of your local restaurant. The employees get no other notice of the order. If the restaurant is not busy and phones are not ringing, they may not see your order for a few minutes. This causes your order to be late on delivery. In one case I had to call the restaurant and let them know I placed an order before they began making it. That takes the whole ‘Online’ part out of the order process. But new customers get 20% off their first order. That almost makes up for the flaw in the order process.

Order Dominos Pizza Online

Click on the “Order” button.

A box will pop up on your screen asking for your street address, city, state, and zip code.

Click the “Continue” button.

Choose delivery or carry out.

Type in all your location information.

Click the “Continue” button.

Choose from many different types of pizza’s, sandwiches, drinks, chips, sides, and coupons. Or use the “Quick Ordering” option.

Then click “Add To Order” on all your items. There will be a pop up for donations for children if you would like to donate. Then confirm your order and look at your total at the bottom of the page. Then enter in your coupon, if you have one. Confirm your order timing, choose payment type, and purchase a gift card if you would like. Then click the “Place Your Order” button at the bottom of the page.

Ordering online with Domino’s is equally as easy as with Pizza Hut. The order now button is much smaller but it stands out. One thing I like about the Domino’s online ordering system is that it shows what your pizza will look like as you add toppings. It starts with a blank cheese pizza and when you add a new topping, it will show up on your pizza.

Sometimes ordering pizza can be confusing. For example, if you order a supreme and only want green peppers on half, you may get a half supreme half green pepper pizza. With the option to view your pizza before you place the order, this confusion is eliminated.

Issues with Domino’s online ordering were minimal. One time, the manager called to tell me my credit card number was not saved and asked if I would mind giving it to him over the phone. For some people that could be a big issue. I knew it was legit though. Orders usually arrive in about 30 minutes with no problems with the food.

Order Papa John’s Pizza

Click the “Order Online” button.

Enter in your address and zip code.

Click “See The Menu”.

Find the closest Papa John’s in your area and click “Order Online”.

Choose from many different types of pizza’s, specials, drinks, sides, and extra’s.

Click the “Add To Order” button and choose exactly how you want your order to be cooked or topped. Click the “Add To Order” or “Add To Order & Checkout” button. Once you’ve chosen all of the items you wish to purchase, you’ll register all your information and click the “Submit” button to continue to the checkout. At the checkout you’ll view your order and total. Then you’ll submit your order!

The process for ordering pizza online with Papa John’s is much like Pizza Hut and Domino’s. Its a relatively easy process. It seems that Papa John’s could update their site design a little. The “order now” button doesn’t stand out from the rest of the navigation. A lot of the images are compressed which makes the site look more like a mom and pop pizza shop rather than a national chain.

Papa John’s offers widgets to suit almost any need whether for your desktop, for social networking sites, or for your website. The only problem I can find with this widget is that it doesn’t allow you to order from the widget itself. Everything you click leads to the Papa John’s website. This may not be a problem for some people but to me, the Pizza Hut widget is much more convenient allowing you to login and order directly from the widget.

Service with Papa John’s never seems to be a problem. Every order is delivered on time and the food is hot and fresh. Its not the best pizza out of all three but definitely the best service.

Now you know how to keep that tummy from rumbling without the hassle of driving or talking on the phone! More time to stay online and surf the internet! So sign up and order online today!

Which pizza place do you go to? Do you order online?

There are many times when I would like to share pictures, video, or games from my laptop or PC with my friends and family. The problem is that its quite hard to get everyone around a small computer screen let alone keep them interested for very long. Wouldn’t it be much better if you could connect your computer to your TV so everyone could view your media with ease and comfort?

It is indeed a much better solution and can be a lot of fun for everyone. So I will explain everything you need to do in order to connect your laptop or PC to your television.

There are a variety of different ways you can connect your computer to your TV. All will involve the use of different types of cables. Which cable you use will depend on a couple of different factors:

What type of connections your laptop/PC has

What type of connections your television has

The following is a list of the different types of cables/connections you will have to choose from with picture quality ranging from highest to lowest:

HDMI

DVI

VGA

S-Video

Composite/RCA

1. “High Definition Multimedia Interface” or HDMI is the highest quality connection now. All HDTVs will have this connection though chances are your laptop or computer will not. If you do happen to have an HDMI connection on your computer then by all means, use this connection. If you do not have HDMI on your computer you can use an adapter to convert HDMI to DVI.

2. DVI stands for “Digital Video Interface” and has pretty much been the standard for connecting computer monitors since about 2003. Your computer will most likely have this connection. HDTVs should also have this connection. If you wish to use audio with a DVI connection you must use a seperate audio cable. A cable from phones output connected to red and white audio in on your TV will work great!

3. VGA or “Video Graphics Array” connections are the most common video connections found on laptops and PC’s. HDTVs may have a VGA connection which means you simply need to connect the cable between your computer and televsion. However, older televisions will not have a VGA connection and will require a PC to television converter. There are USB converters that allow you to use this method. Just like DVI, VGA does not carry a audio signal. Just use the same method from above for connecting audio from your phones output.

4. S-Video or “Super Video” has been around for quite some time now. Some laptops and computer graphics cards will have a S-Video connection. Most televisions will also have a S-Video connection. This isn’t the best quality connection but its also not the lowest quality. S-video has the same audio limitation as the above two examples. Again, just use your phones output and a phones to RCA cable or adapter.

5. Composite connections, sometimes referred to as RCA connections, are the yellow, red, and white connections that most people will be familiar with. Red is right analog audio, and white is left analog audio. Yellow is composite video. This will be the lowest quality connection to use. If your computer has no RCA connections, you can use an RCA to S-Video cable.

Connecting your laptop or PC to your television is pretty simple. Just check both your computer and television to find out what connections they have in common. If by some chance you have no connections matching up, you can always buy adapters to make your connection types match.

Once you’ve passed the stage of physically connecting your computer to your television you’ll have to select the correct input on your TV. Just like when using your DVD player, select the input that your computer is connected to using your remote. This input might be called something like AV1 or AV2. You should see this on the television screen.

If your picture seems distorted, play around with the pixel settings on your TV or change the resolution. New HDTVs will have a few different resolution settings. Older TVs may only have one resolution setting. In this case, adjust your computer resolution until the picture looks good.

Following the steps above will have you sharing media on your TV in no time. There’s nothing better than a 50″ plasma picture frame in the middle of your living room.
