When Facebook iOS integration came onto the scene, Apple and Facebook joined forces in an effort to enhance your life - not to burden it. Cook and Zuckerberg didn't get together in some secret layer on a private island in the Pacific to concoct some evil plan that would ruin millions of peoples' lives by adding Facebook to the iPhone. Fortunately for everyone concerned about their privacy, Google released a statement on its Google+ page on Friday stating that it would not allow facial recognition on its device. Although Google Glass director Steve Lee already made it clear that Google itself will not make use of facial recognition, this statement clarifies that third-party developers will also be required to adhere to the same rules and guidelines.
