Just recently YouTube put out a nice update that made some changes to the end of the video screen and the playlist feature, and now they are at it again, bringing an update to their movie page. Everything looks a lot cleaner now on the new page, and it is certainly easier to navigate. I would say the layout looks somewhat similar to Netflix, which is a good thing.

Google Docs is without a doubt one of the easiest ways to collaborate with multiple people on a single document. It offers a slew of features that make it easy to collaborate with others. One of the most talked about features of Apple’s new mobile operating system is the ability to add custom SMS and alert tones to your iPhone. Back in the old days the iPhone limited users to only a few SMS tones, which is why everywhere you went all you heard was that annoying tritone sound. Thankfully, with iOS 5, Apple included many more ringtones right off the bat, and you can add more.

Typically, a console lasts for around 5 years before phasing out in favor of some new, more powerful hardware. Some time has passed since the iPhone 4S hit the market, and everyone is screaming from the mountaintops about it. I am coming from a 3GS so the improvements are leaps and bounds for me. I could see how someone coming from an iPhone 4 might not see the changes as profoundly as I do, but nonetheless, the changes are there, and they are noticeable.

Mozilla recently put out a new version of their popular browser called Firefox with Bing. As the creative name implies, it is Firefox but with Bing running behind the scenes. Basically, this changes the search engine in the awesome bar and the search bar to Bing, instead of Firefox’s staple, Google. It also changes the default homepage to Bing.com.

Note-taking giant Evernote has a long term plan. Their plan is to become your daily life tracker, and not just a place to jot down notes and sync them. They are poised to do that, because in terms of quick easy software for jotting things down, they are certainly at the front of the pack. They plan to be here for a while, and a huge part of sticking around is expanding and capturing new users.

Video games and movies never seem to combine well. A great movie made into a video game always ends up being terrible, and a great game made into a movie never seems to come out much better. All that said, it doesn’t mean there are not some games out there that could make great movies if they were done correctly.
