Artificial intelligence isn't coming -- it's already here.

Stanford University's "One Hundred Year Study on Artificial Intelligence" report from 2016 is close to the truth. AI already impacts our lives on a daily basis. The study's expert panel expects to see AI integrated into industries like elder care, education and public safety by 2030.

"The field of AI is shifting toward building intelligent systems that can collaborate effectively with people."

Tech companies are, of course, trendsetters when it comes to new technologies, and AI is no different. In fact, Google has been using AI through an algorithm it calls RankBrain, a machine-learning way to sort through all those Google Search results.

While companies use AI to help them reach their business goals, AI can help you achieve personal goals at work or in your day-to-day life. Here are six AI apps you can use right now to help you meet almost any goal you can think of.

1. MyKAI

mykai app

What better way to start chasing your ambitions than saving up the money to do so? MyKAI is an AI-powered chatbot to manage your money and track your spending.

Two big perks of MyKAI are:

  1. It's completely free to use.
  2. You can connect to your Kai chatbot over Facebook Messenger, your SMS application, or Slack, so there's sure to be a way for everyone to access the bot.

There's no learning curve to it. It understands natural, conversational language. The more you chat with your Kai bot, the more it learns about you and your personal finance goals.

All you have to do is sign up on the MyKAI website and connect your bank accounts. The bot is compatible with over 20,000 US banks and credit card companies, and works across multiple accounts.

Of course, you wouldn't give your banking data to just any chatbot, but MyKAI was created by Kasisto, a spin-off company from the one that created Apple's famous Siri. Banks DBS and Wells Fargo also back Kasisto.

According to the company's website, MyKAI was designed to be extremely secure: "No personal or financial data is ever stored, and MyKAI uses read-only data about accounts from a secure independent aggregator."

If you're ready to get a better handle on your finances with minimal effort, consider giving MyKAI a go.

2. Time

blue cocoa time app

The Time app uses AI and statistics to help you stave off procrastination and finish tasks well ahead of deadlines.

The app has a to-do list interface, allowing you to easily add new assignments, hold and drag to reorder, or swipe left to delete. When you tap on one of the tasks, a timer begins and the on-screen color changes from green to yellow to red as time passes.

If you don't meet your desired time for a given task, you're not off the hook. The app then starts counting up to pressure you to make it to the finish line.

The app's AI comes into play over time, learning how you work and offering you personalized suggestions on productivity. You can also look at a visualization of how much time you've worked, saved, and added during each given hour. This helps you get a better idea of tasks you completed quickly and those that took extra time.

Time acts as a nudge to help you get things done. It also helps get you into the habit of resisting procrastination.

3. Trevor

trevor app

Many AI chatbots have humanized names, and this one is called Trevor. The app is a personal assistant that connects with your phone's task list and calendar to help you manage time more efficiently. If you know what needs to be completed but have trouble with the time to get it done, try this app once.

Using your text-messaging interface, you may tell Trevor you need to buy groceries. Based on data you've already put on your calendar, the app comes up with a list of suggested times that would work best for the task. You then text back your desired day and time, and the app will automatically schedule the task on your calendar.

For now, the Trevor app integrates with iOS Reminders and Todoist, with more apps coming soon.

4. LifeTracker [No Longer Available]

lifetracker app

One of the conveniences your smartphone offers is the ability to give you notifications from a variety of apps. Sometimes that's more of a curse than a blessing, however, as your phone becomes bogged down by notification clutter. The idea behind the LifeTracker app is to avoid that clutter by delivering reminders about your most important tasks when the time and place are right.

First, you pick relevant context for all your activities, then take on individual tasks at a time and place that works for you. The app learns this activity and syncs with your "personal life rhythm" to give you regular, relevant reminders.

The app comes with two caveats for those in the U.S. The Android version is only available in the U.K. and the iOS version is in beta.

5. Talla

talla app

For meeting your goals at work, think of Talla as a service assistant that automates answers to internal questions from employees, and manages and prioritizes work requests. The web app works through the Slack and Microsoft Teams platforms.

The app will help you save time as it learns how your organization functions. You can train it to automatically handle repetitive jobs or queries, like when you get similar questions from multiple employees throughout the workday. Talla also helps with organization, using a dashboard where you can manage, prioritize and respond to tasks all in one place, rather than relying on a hodgepodge of chat messages, phone calls or emails.

Talla can save time training new employees. You can teach the app to answer common questions and give new people the necessary resources to get started.

There are several versions of Talla:

  • A free starter version.
  • A Team version for $59 per month.
  • A Growth version for $499 per month.
  • An Enterprise version for $5 per user per month.
