Please welcome three new writers to the Make Use Of team – Anthony, Jackson and Mackenzie. While Anthony will be joining the rest of us and focus on web-based apps, Jackson and Mackenzie will start off MakeUseOf Mac and Linux sections, respectively. Obviously there’s more to computers and the web than just plain old Windows and so we’ve figured it would be best to expand a little and offer our readers a bit more choice in their reading. Actually, Jackson has already reviewed couple of Mac apps: a universal “my status” manager MoodBlast and a GTD program known as Things.
So without further ado, I’ll now hand the floor over to the new guys.
| My name is Anthony and I’m a high-school student in California. I love all kinds of sports and I also enjoy writing. In addition to writing for MakeUseOf, I write on my own blog – check it out at Radicitus.Blogspot.Com. I have a really ‘open’ writing style so don’t be surprised if I crack a lot of jokes. Well, looking forward to writing for you guys! | |
| Hi, I’m Jackson and I’m a medical student with an addiction to surfing the Web, tech and gadgets. I’m a Switcher with a constant love-hate relationship with my Mac. Basically an all-rounder who loves to try everything at least once. | |

I’m a sophomore studying Computer Science at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I can’t remember ever not being a nerd, but I can remember trying to hide it behind really girly clothes. The books and computers always gave it away, so I give up. I’m a computer geek. I’m a bit of a programmer, but I haven’t found a language I really love yet. I have found an operating system I love though. I’ve spent about 20 hours a day using Linux every day since July 2006, and I’ve learned a lot in the process that I’m willing to share. |
