The Quick Posts could be good, but I'm worried that they'll get lost in my feed reader (I use Feed Demon), MakeUseOf posts always stand out because of the length and brief but informative content. Perhaps you should have the ability to subscribe to the "Extra Quick Posts" or "Directory Additions".
