Keeping track of important information that you find online isn’t quite as easy as you might think. A lot of people will tend to simply copy and paste that information into a text document. While it works, it’s far from being an optimal solution, as it’s hard to search through them efficiently. It may also be helpful to still have the supportive text visible, which isn’t usually the case with text documents unless you put a lot of hard work into it. Simply put, there has to be an easier way.

Annotary is a web service which allows you to highlight information, bookmark those sites, take notes, and share with other people. In other words, it’s a very good note-taking tool for any website. Any annotations and highlighting will stay where you put it whenever you return to the site, which makes remembering all of your edits no longer necessary. The service can be used through extensions, which are available for Firefox and Chrome.

    Hmm, I prefer the all-in-one scrapbook, because I don't need to be online to see my annotations.

    Anyone have any second opinions on this? Are there better apps for this purpose?
