angry birds star wars facebook 300 Angry Birds Star Wars Silently Arrives On Facebook [Updates]Are you a fan of Angry Birds Star Wars? Even if you’re an official fan of the game’s Page on Facebook, you might not yet know that the game is now available on a brand new platform: that’s right, Facebook itself. As of today, you can play Angry Birds Star Wars beta right on Facebook, including all the Tatooine levels, with Death Star levels coming soon.

As the Facebook game is still in beta, it seems that Rovio hasn’t made an official announcement about it yet, but the game is up and ready to play, so you can check out all the crazy Star Wars characters, invite your friends to play and even compare your scores. This is the second Angry Birds game to launch on Facebook, preceded by Angry Birds Friends which was launched earlier this year.

In addition to the new Facebook game, Rovio has also announced a brand new Angry Birds holiday song by the name of Fly Me Home Tonight, and will be donating all income from downloads to the Save The Children organization. You can download the song on iTunes for $0.99, 0.99 € or £0.99 depending on your country.

How much do it spam? Games on facebook seems to spam very much :(

Yaara Lancet

You can always set it so you’re the only one who can see posts made by the game before you launch it, and this way there’s no spam for you friends.

I was more thinking about spam from friends ;)

Makes you wonder about their revenue model though. They obviously want people to buy the proper PC or mobile version. But why would anyone pay for it if they can get it for free on Facebook?

I personally paid for the iPad version when it first came out, so I am a bit hacked off that it is now free on Facebook.

I don’t think it’s the same, really. Personally, I don’t like playing games on Facebook. It’s too social, it bugs me about my friends, it’s inside my browser (Firefox crashed when I loaded it the first time), and it’s another app that I need to grant access to my profile.

Also, if you want to play anywhere but in front of your computer, it’s not going to be very useful, and the gameplay itself is not as good as on a smartphone or tablet.

In addition, it doesn’t include all the levels you get on mobile, I think, so that’s one more reason for you to buy the full game. All in all, I think they’re smart for letting people try it on Facebook. People will get addicted and want more, and more often, and they’ll end up buying it for their phone/tablet.
