Amazon Adds Hundreds Of MGM Titles To Prime Instant Video [Updates]

Amazon has just made its Prime Instant Video even more interesting, with the addition of MGM titles to its video catalog. This new deal with MGM will add hundreds of new movie and TV titles to the already large collection, with big names such as Rain Man, Silence of the Lambs, The Terminator, and TV hit Stargate.

Prime Instant Video is part of the Amazon Instant Video service, and the Amazon Prime service. Amazon Instant Video is a streaming service where users can rent, purchase or subscribe to a collection of over 120,000 video titles. Amazon Prime is Amazon’s 2-day shipping service which is paid for annually, and includes other perks such as Prime Instant Video, which offers over 18,000 which Prime members can stream for free. All these services are currently only available in the U.S.

Amazon keeps increasing their Instant Video collection, with the addition of Paramount films only last month, and now the addition of hundreds of new MGM titles. Not long ago, Google too has signed a deal with MGM, adding over 600 titles to its video service, so the competition in the video streaming world remains quite tight.

Do you have a favorite MGM title your can’t wait to catch on Prime Instant Video?
