Alertification is a free to use web service that helps out online shoppers, by monitoring any webpage for changes. You can set up markers on that page i.e. you can tell Alertification about the thing that it needs to monitor. It then keeps on monitoring the page and alerts you of the changes you specify.

You can use this function to provide the site with the URL of the purchasing link of an online item. You can then mark the price section as the area that should be monitored. When you do so, the price will be highlighted in blue, as shown in the image above. You can then add one of two notification types - email or SMS. If you want both, then you can do the process twice and select SMS notifications the first time and then email notifications the next time.

You can also specify when you should be notified i.e. what changes should the application be looking out. You can set the application to see if the price matches, is less than, or is greater than a specific value that you enter. You might be wondering what the use of the "greater than" feature would be. This option will help eBay shoppers and online auctioneers who are selling items online.
