Airbnb Adds Brand New Wish List Feature With Site Redesign [Updates]

Airbnb has just rolled out a significant re-design of their website, adding a huge new feature to the mix: Wish Lists. Airbnb is a popular short-term accommodation website which is fast becoming a favorite among worldwide travellers and home-owners alike. Travellers can use Airbnb to find fairly-priced accommodation with a real local touch, while home or apartment owners can make some money off renting a spare room.

Airbnb’s new wish lists are Pinterest-like boards where users can collect their favorites places to stay, their dream vacation spots, etc. Users who need some inspiration can also visit Airbnb’s own curated wish lists and popular user wish lists. You can also connect Airbnb to Facebook, find out which places your friends like best and also to share your favorite places with them.

Aside from the big addition of wish lists, the main homepage has also received a big facelift, with new backgrounds and a slick search box that opens before your eyes as you start typing in your query. Scrolling down, you will find a long list of featured locations.

When you get to the real guts of the website, the properties, you won’t find many changes. You will find, however, that the “Favorite” button has now  been replaced with a “Wish List” button. This way, you can browse Airbnb as usual and add items to your wish list on the go.
