AirBnB, one of the best apps to find private rental homes and rooms, has just had a major update on mobile with all-new apps for Android and iOS. The developers say that the AirBnB app has been rebuilt from the ground up, with larger images, easily navigable maps, and thoughtful animations. The new app seems to focus on making it easier for hosts, but there are a few features for travellers too.

The new Host Home feature acts as a “hosting mentor” for those who want to lease or rent their spaces on AirBnB. Host Home coaches users on everything from how to list a space to managing multiple bookings. Similarly, “hospitality standards” guide you with the nine best practices of expert hosts, ensuring a more hospitable experience for your guests.

Anyone in the travel business knows that it’s best to network with others in your area so you can offer great packages together. The new Host Groups does just that, letting users connect with their neighbours and “forge united identities”.

For travellers, the Discover feed has been redesigned to showcase the best properties, filterable by destination, theme, trip type. “And, because Airbnb is about making the world accessible, the new app simplifies the booking process—so actually getting into these spaces is just a few taps away,” the company wrote in a post.

With over 450,000 listings in more than 34,000 cities, AirBnB might be a bit much to handle for you, so we recommend grabbing the AirBnB Pro ebook for great tips and tricks.

You can download AirBnB mobile apps from the Play Store and the App Store.
