The data in the infographic set off a few red flags for me so I wanted to know who was behind it. A standard Internet search revealed the source of the infographic (instantcheckmate.com) seems to have a pretty questionable reputation itself.

"There is a correlation between violent video game use and aggressive behavior."

This is absolute bullplop. There is NO correlation between video games and violence, and NO studies have ever shown there to be. If anything, levels of violence have gone down in the years since video games became a mainstream hobby. This is utter and egregious nonsense, and I expect better from makeuseof than to publish discredited garbage such as this.

"There is NO correlation between video games and violence"
But there is a direct correlation between drinking milk and violence. All violent criminals drank milk when they were children. :P

The title, "Are You Addicted To The Internet" bothers me in this. This article is mostly about *Video Game* addiction, which isn't necessarily an internet addiction. True, these games have multiplayer capabilities that connect via the internet, but the internet itself isn't just online games. Its also Social Networking like Facebook or Twitter, media entertainment like YouTube or Netflix and even reading stories, news and articles. This article takes aim at just the gamers, and doesn't represent the whole online community.

I guess texting does not count as an Internet addiction.
