PayPal Plugin (US only) - The ultimate protection for your PayPal account. And here is how it works: when you want to purchase something and are asked to fill-in credit card details, instead of giving your real card details, you can use the plugin to generate a secure single-use MasterCard number that debits from your PayPal account. And since the card is valid for only one purchase your info always remains secure.

All the above features can be used in several ways, via mobile website (mobile.paypal.com), using text messaging or through automated phone support.

Run, don’t walk as quickly as you can from PayPal. They are nothing less than crooks who have stolen millions from innocent people. Give your money to them and you might as well kiss it goodbye. They do things that your local banker would be arrested for and get away with it because they are NOT a bank and have to follow no rules, laws, or guidelines save their own. Absolute criminals.

I agree, they act as a bank, but are under no regulation and can do what they like with our money, it’s pretty awful really. Talk about a lack of choice though, everyone uses PP and I have to use what my customers want me to use.

    Love ‘em or hate ‘em….
they’re no doubt here to stay…
and a necessary evil at this point in time.
If you want to do business on the internet,
you’ve just about got to have some kind of payment processor,
and PayPal is the undisputed “Queen”.

    Regardless…fabulous article!
    Much thanks for the info!

An alternative to Paypal is Money****s.com. I hadn’t heard of it until recently myself, but my employer is planning on integrating with Money****s before Paypal.

I have Money****s account as well. Although it does seem to offer better rates it’s not very popular.
