2) Shut Off Lights When You Leave Home

Another way to save on energy bills: turning off your lights when you aren’t using them. Unfortunately, if you remember that your lights are still on after you’ve already left for work in the morning, then there’s little you can do about it.

    Zapier is an excellent alternative.

    I've just had an IFTTT 'recipe' blow up and repeat post 600 articles. Worked fine for 6 months before. OK - got that sorted BUT, 3 days for support to reply with "We'll look at it". Another 2 days gone by and still waiting, so customer service and support is a BIG fail.

    The Nest thermostat already does the auto away without the use of a smartphone or IFTT trigger.
