webook.com has more than just 911 writer’s block. The whole community is really helpful, giving feedback and tips whenever you post stories. They also have forums about writing that you can use. highly recommend.

“nice cup of tea” doesn’t really tell the reader anything. My idea of a nice tea may be with
milk and sugar–someone else’s my be with lemon. To be specific is what makes writing come alive. I brewed a cup of hot English breakfast tea with milk and sugar added. That is a “nice cup of tea.” At least to me.

One of my favorite language resources is the Daily Writing Tips blogs. It has excellent articles.
