This isn’t exactly the same thing as finding a *specific* date, but I use a Greasemonkey script, “Google Filter by Date,” found here:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25684

It adds a drop-down with the following options: anytime, past 24 hours, past week, past month, past year, past 10 years.
