    Another options is to travel to Mexico, then just cross the US southern border (not at a checkpoint). No paperwork or fees of any kind required unless you hire a coyote for your travel arrangements. Very unlikely you would be apprehended or detained for any reason. No long waits for customs. And if your skin tone is dark enough, even if you are intercepted later there is almost zero chance that you would be deported.
