For home users there's Secunia PSI www.secunia.com - it checks Windows and lots of applications for insecure versions and gives you links to download the updates. And it's free. Highly recommended

Thank you for acknowledging my previous post with an answer.

The link is broken, get it? It has changed form that which I previously stated to a simple "Firefox can't find the server at www.dakota.theatticnetwork.net"

@Alek

A new server and Vista version won't be worth a dime if it cannot be found.

Hey
Just to let you all know I'm very good with computers and I never update unles a program I want to run needs it. I keep all my documents and file on my 1tb nas. I don't even use an antivirus maybe just a quick scan and uninstall every now and then but I find my computer runs so much faster without updates and antivirus. I've tried many different things to keep my computer running faster but when it does get bogged down after a couple of months I just reformat.

It is possible to download windows updates from the couple of Microsoft Websites for off-line install on several computers. Here are instructions:

I ran across another site the other day that does Windows Updates: http://windizupdate.com/
I don't know anything about it, but wanted to throw it out there as another option.
