Thanks. The first ‘tool’ I ever used was to arrange the fonts by similarity in the fonts folder. It was much later that I started using the online apps.

This is a great list. I immediately bookmarked the first web app! I use Gimp on Linux, and other gimpers no doubt are familiar with the somewhat user-unfriendly fonts dialog. Apps like these are a great solution.
