I've said it before and I'll say it again. The amount of online flash games is enormous and even if you only look at all the decent ones, you've still got an awful lot.

When you've got multiple games, one's bound to be better than the other. This way, you'll always have the 'good, better and best'.

Last time we looked at rhythm games. Before that, brain teasers were the topic. This time, we won't be limiting ourselves to any categories. Today we'll be looking at some of the best online flash games.

Read on to (re)discover classics like Line Rider, addictive games like Vector TD, and more.

Dino Run

About 65 million years ago, when the earth was still flat, terror struck the world. A huge comet collided with the earth, resulting in a devastating tsunami of water and land (mostly rocks, though).

This was the day the dinosaurs went extinct. Which particulary sucks if you're a dinosaur.

Bob, Frank, or whatever your name is feels the vibrations in the ground. Trees start shaking, the heavens darken. Pterosaurs fly over you, all in one direction. And then you hear it. You hear the land being crushed by something violent, something big, and you know there's only one thing you can do.

Run.

Fancy Pants Adventures

You are Mister Fancy Pants. You have only one goal; to find the door.

Fancy Pants Adventures is a nice 2D platformer with some great physics and a sleek look. Slide and jump through each level and try to find the door. And while you're at it, try to grab some swirls (read: coins) as well.

If you like this game, you'll probably also want to try the sequel, Fancy Pants Adventure World 2.

Line Rider

Line Rider is one of the most famous flash games ever made. It was posted as a beta on deviantART by fsk, something he made for illustration class, and it instantly got very popular.

The author states that "it's not a game, it's a toy. What I mean is there are no goals to achive and there is no score."

So there are no goals, but what is the concept?

The idea behind Line Rider is simple; you draw a line, and let a guy slide on it. You cannot steer the sled, or have any other impact than drawing the surroundings.

When we look at some of the creations, we can see the extent of creativity. Check out the YouTube video below for an example.

If you liked Line Rider, I've got even better news. A new version of Line Rider has been released for the Microsoft Silverlight platform. Check it out here.

Vector TD

Do you like productivity? If so, please don't read on, because Vector TD is guaranteed to make yours reach a new low.

Vector TD is a tower defense game, one of those games that can keep you hooked for hours. Enemies will move along a given path, the aim is to destroy them before they reach the end of the line. To do so, you can set up various weapons along the sides.

The enemies will grow stronger as the time passes, so you'll have to put more weapons into the game and upgrade them. How long will you be able to keep up?

Cursor 10

How well do you work in a team? How well would you be able to work with a team of 10 'you's?

The goal in Cursor 10 is simple, reach the final level. To reach the goal, you'll have to do something very strange; you'll have to cooperate with yourself. A brilliant concept.
