If you use Google Drive, you’re going to love this! Right now, if you complete quick security check that will make sure everything is up to snuff with your Google account, you’ll get an additional 2GB of free storage on your Drive account.

This isn’t temporary storage like Dropbox or OneDrive tend to give out, but this is space that you’ll get to keep!

To get your free space, head to this page. You’ll need to login with your Google account, and then just follow the steps. It shouldn’t take you more than a couple of minutes, and you’ll be checking important things like how you recover your account, connected devices, services with permission to access your account, and 2-step verification settings.

Doing a checkup like this is great even if you weren’t going to get free space, and you really should think about doing it for other services like Facebook. It’s easy to forget what services you’ve given authorization too, and a little cleanup can help keep you much more secure.

Last year, Google offered this same deal, and it ran it for a week in honor of Safer Internet Day, so we’re assuming this will last about the same amount of time. Just to be safe, though, we recommend jumping in and doing at as soon as you have a free minute!

Do you have a lot of services connected to your Google account? Did you disconnect any during the checkup? Share in the comments!

I just went through these steps and did not receive any extra space. I'm still at the same amount (15GB). Bummer :(

By **Tweaking** The Safety Features, A Few Months Ago, I Added 2GB To My Initial 15GB.

The Same Again This Time - 19GB In Total, Now.

The Fun Part - I Really Did Not Change Anything.

    Thank You Very Much.
