Fact: I'm a romantic. I'm one of those guys who loves love, believes in strong, lasting relationships, and... well... watches chick flicks. I watch them quite often (don't judge me, okay?). Now, I'll be honest in that I'm not always the most romantic person in the world. You won't see me delivering flowers any time soon (however, I once gave my girlfriend beef jerky in lieu of a bouquet once). However, I absolutely am crazy about what I consider to be the most romantic act you can find - the wedding proposal.

Yes. I absolutely adore wedding proposals. I'm crazy about them. In fact, I spend hours scouring YouTube just to watch videos of wedding proposals for fun. Trust me. It's more fun than it sounds. However, I thought it would be great for me to share with you some of what I consider the best wedding proposals on the web.

Movie Trailer Proposal

A well-known YouTube vlogger/musician created one of the most epic (and although that is an over-used term, it fits here) wedding proposals that I have ever seen. In short, he made a full cinematic movie trailer for his proposal! Although the concept of the fake film is a little odd, his proposal is absolutely amazing. What makes it great is that he actually put together a team of fellow YouTubers to make the proposal happen (I've considered doing this, but I really don't know if it would be as good as his go at it).

Choreographed Parade Proposal

I think this is one of the most beautiful proposals that I have ever seen. Simple story? Guy meets girl. Guy falls in love with girl. Guy gets all of his close family and friends to march and dance around his neighborhood to prepare his proposal to his girlfriend, all set to the tune of "I Think I Wanna Marry You" by Bruno Mars. The video for this is not the best quality, but man...stick around. Everything is planned so perfectly, and it's worth seeing what kind of flavor each person adds to the mix.

Meme Wedding Proposal

best wedding proposal ever

This proposal was quite cinematic and done in a totally professional style. As a matter of fact, I would call it "classy". But here's the catch: the proposal features memes. Yes. Memes. Our soon-to-be groom (co-founder of ad-blogging site Nuffnang) proposed using pictures of memes on poster board to his now-fiancée, and it is one of the sweetest, quirkiest, funniest proposals I have ever seen. If you look closely at 3:30, you can see where he had a "Forever Alone" image ready just in case. Get in there, check it out, and grab the box of tissues in case the tears start flowing.

Madison Square Park Proposal

Being a video production major, I thought this proposal was absolutely wonderful. Our main man was friends with several film students and circus performers, and for his proposal, he used as many of those resources as he could. He sets up the proposal by having a friend (who he pretends to not know) come up to him and his girlfriend and ask if he can interview the girlfriend for a documentary. There were a lot of cameras around to record the event, and that made sense, right?

What follows is an amazing circus-infused choreography scene that leads up to the big question. As a note, you would think that with all the cameras around, this would be a better video. Unfortunately, it was all taken by a bystander on a low quality recorder.

Conclusion

Well that's that, my dear readers, and yes, that is only dust in my eye. Both eyes, actually. What do you think I'm doing? Crying?! Heck no. I hope you enjoyed these proposals, for they are all some of my favorites. I'm sure that there are more to come – maybe even my own!

What are some of the best wedding proposals like these do you know about? Have you ever had an extravagant proposal?
