Sometimes I want to kick my computer upside its stupid head. Other times it takes me to sites like this one. I inherited bibliophilia from my dad. If he had lived long enough to see this revolution, he’d be giddy. I never saw him giddy, but that would do it. Thanks to everyone for sharing.

I love these sites! Kudos to Justin on the custom Google search, that’s pretty cool.

I’d also like to recommend Seth Godin and Cory Doctorow, and Chris Guillebeau. They’ve written some awesome books that are available to download for free.

If I get this right – if you live in the US, you’ve got nothing to worry about, just as long as you don’t try to make money out of it.

Nevertheless, laws differ from country to country – if you’re living outside of the US, I cannot assure the legality.

I found this site…Bookyards.com. The site has thousands of ebooks. It says that its free and because it’s not been submitted to copyright is considered “public domain” in the U.S. It goes on to say that any book can be copied, etc. as long as it is not for lucrative purposes. I downloaded some books from this site…and now I am worried about the legality of it….you have to download a book and the first page you see is the notice from bookyard that I have just shortened.
