You should add another freaky linux distro to your list: Red Flag Linux. Oh yeah, you’re guessing it right: it’s a chinese ( communist) distro. I didn’t install it. It was preinstalled on my asus laptop at the time when i bought it ( about 4 years ago). That distro is so idiotic, it just defeats its’ own purpose. It should be a testing platform, but it lacks (lacked) any GUI at all. It was about 30-40 MB, but no GUI. Come on, i saw Kolibri, or even MenuetOS, having some GUI, but no, the commies had to do it their way: simply stupid.

I love the idea os a satanic linux os, although as a satatnist myself it seems a little weird, but i dont mind giving it a go, sometimes the obscure tends to be the most interesting, which is also why im going to try Apartheid, you never know, it might just be a really good distro, If it is i’ll tweak it, take out the strong racist elements and redistribute as a less offesive version, as I said above the obscure sometimes has the best ideas, even if they have the wrong intentions.

I never said that, and I don’t mean to imply it. I’m not bashing Christians. I’m just saying that Christians have done far more harm then “Satanists”, and that is an objective truth.

I’m sorry if I appear intolerant, I tolerate religion if it doesn’t cause harm. However, I don’t like when people call a parody operating system of a religion “disturbing”, then adding a screenshot of a comment on the “evil” site when the comment is mid-extremist Christian. If you are being truly objective and tolerant yourself, then why was UCE not mentioned at all while putting USE as the “disturbing” one?

The post is titled “strange and disturbing linux distros” – I’d place USE under the “strange” title because it’s little more than a theme and some wallpapers with an off-beat subject matter. It’s basically a bit of a joke, as you put it – a parody.

I urge you not to take offense to the labelling.

You do understand that by acting in the way you are, i.e. “it’s all the Christians fault”, you’re making yourself look just as intolerant as those who you are so seemingly against?

For the record: I’m not Christian, in fact I don’t believe in any religion. I do believe in practicing what you preach however, so if you’re going to moan about intolerance at least have the decency to be tolerant and mindful in the first place.

Yes, but I’m saying that UCE is worse than USE. UCE doesn’t disclose this logging of personal information, and USE doesn’t have anything like that. So why is USE “disturbing” but UCE isn’t? USE has dark art, but UCE is pro-censorship, anti-privacy, religion extremist, and USE is a parody… I’m saying that calling USE disturbing but UCE not is narrow minded.

I assume you’ve misunderstood me, because I was referring to the Net Responsibility plugin which logs and reports browsing activity. Anyone using an operating system with such a program installed should know about it, hence: “provided its users are fully aware”.

I don’t see how telling people to be careful when it comes to privacy is narrow minded.

Both Mac OS X and GNU/Linux are based off UNIX. The difference is that GNU/Linux has the Linux kernel and GNU utilities (utilities meaning the stuff in /usr, etc like cp, mv, mkfs…) whereas Mac OS X uses the Mach kernel, which is based off BSD (basically UNIX) with Apple utilities.

Oh god that would be awesome! Although I don’t think it would boot. I’m currently using 334 processes (a lot, I know, but not unheard of). If we assume the average computer has 4 GB of RAM, that gives each process about 12.3 MB. Many processes require a lot more than 12 MB.

Also, the windows manager has nothing to do with coordinating processes. It MANAGES WINDOWS. It’s the kernel’s job to coordinate processes, so you’d have to rewrite (or at least patch) the kernel. I’d say the vast majority of the kernel would have to change for this to be possible, to the point at which you couldn’t call it Linux.

Also, if you ARE somehow able to pull this off, also make it so that each thread is also given an equal amount of processor time.

I’d shit bricks if you could pull this off.

When I used Ubuntu, I added the SE repository for a laugh: it’s really nothing more than make-up (icons, wallpapers & dark sounds, etc.), & quite tongue in cheek, & should properly be called Ubuntu Gothick Edition, as a true (Laveyan) Satanist geek should properly want an elitist, expensive, ego-satisfying OS, rather than something so popularist & playful like anything Linux-based, maybe OSX, because of its supremacism & quest for world domination, rather some damned hippy freebie like Linux!!!

Hannah Montana Linux is a ridiculously brilliant idea, & Linuxland deserves it!!!

Red Star is really disturbing, because it takes something based upon freedom & uses it to maintain totalitarian oppression.

I find Apartheid Linux absurd. If these people are SO superior, surely they are capable of writing THE superior OS. It reminds me of a random search I did (‘linux nazis’?) that led to an aryan supremacy blog where they liked Ubuntu, but complained aboot the African drumming at login!!!

Mind you, when I tried Kubuntu Karmic Koala, I had to ditch it, because I started developing antipathy towards all sorts of people, & started wearing a strange Halloween costume!!!

Yeah I can’t believe would even argue with you about this, Tim Brookes. We are a tolerant society. We MUST be tolerant of blacks, whites, hispanics… ALL races. We are tolerant of gays, tolerant of transgenders, tolerant of crossdressers.

And if we find anybody who isn’t being tolerant, the best thing to do is point and call them names. That is how we tolerant people roll.
