I don’t know what’s worse. The article or the hypocrites showing their contempt for an article showing contempt for those sites. Some people have such politically correctness that they don’t even allow to talk about certain topics. Someone even imputed the author to show his “true colors”…

It doesn’t make a difference whether he put the links in or not. People who are actually interested in those sites might use Google for it.

I just skimmed over the article. But the comments contracted my concentration. I don’t know the author but it’s funny to see how quickly people draw conclusions or accuse him of making propaganda.

Articles like these always end up in a discussion about politics. And that’s where the trouble starts…

@ Jersey Bob, good point, but I tend to disagree. In my experience Right-wingers disown their own radicals (ie: KKK) but Left-wingers embrace theirs (ie: Che Guevara).

Yes, there are people on the fringes of both the right wing and left wing who are mentally twisted and outside the mainstream.

But you’ll note it was “mainstream” Republicans and conservatives who objected to hate crime legislation and made DHS Secretary Napolitano apologize for a report (started under the Bush Admin.) that called attention to right wing hate groups. This report turned out to be correct, esp. after the Holocaust museum shooting. Mainstream Democrats and liberals don’t associate with left wing hate groups.

If you really are against these sites — something which I question because it seems that anyone would have more common sense than this — you should never have posted this article.

Interesting that only fanatical right-wing sites are on the list. I would suggest a left-wing addition to the list.

This site is a radical left-wing site for folks in western democracy’s who for some reason or another think that North Korean style Communism is a fantastic idea. Hate is not confined to the right, that is for sure!

I agree MF. Putting CCAP on the same plane as, for example, 88Hate, is a bit of a stretch.

I suppose we should include the New York Times, or your friend movie critic of choice, when they quip that such-and-such film has gratuitous violence and is, perhaps, too-strong to view by minors.

Censorship is a charge that is thrown about way too liberally these days. CCAP does not censor anything. They do not prevent anyone from watching said movies, even if they are a bit on the wacky side.

I disagree with your thoughts about ChildCare Action Project. That site allows me to make informed decisions about movies I might watch. In one of the posts I believe you said you had recently read the book 1984. That was the government censoring what is read and watched, not a private organization.

I have to agree with you Ryan…or at least your reasoning. Not providing the site address and information would be just as bad as censorship. If you’re going to take a stand, you need to stand tall. Well done.

The sites listed are terrible to be sure…but, oddly, I find HateBook to be the odd man out of this list of hate. While it is clearly designed to bring groups of haters together, it’s really no worse than so many other forums out there with the malicious gossip and soap-opera-like drama that can only be generated by large groups of ignorant people in a small place. Sadly, the topic doesn’t have to be hate for it to happen…so oddly, I find Hatebook to be more sad than incensing.

Overall, nice choices and well presented. Thank you.

Well Ryan I think you have done it again, I appreicate the education if nothing else. I personally had NO IDEA! Now I do, thats what “make use of” is all about1, enlightening folks like myself about all sorts of things I wouldnt just stummble upon by myself or wouldnt wont to in the dark anyhow;)
I dont care how you pick and choose your groups to shine a light on as I’m sure there are millions more just like or even worse and inpossible to pick ONLY the ones your adding to your article, I liked that you gave me a varirity which enlightened me now to know theres million more like or worse which is what the article was all about anyhow, if they already know it then it wasnt for them or about them to begin with and sounds like some of them are “hating on you”
Another fine job, which was to teach those of us who dont know how “Make USE OF” HOW to “Make Use OF” in which case you have done your job well and should be well pleased and dont listen to the haters!

I just went to have a look at “JewWatch” and their bravery astounds me. All those organizations, mind controllers and assassins employed by “Zionists” and they still manage, somehow, to get out their message out to us poor dupes.
btw I also went to look at “88Tube” and found I got a warning from WOT. Apparently they fall down in all WOT’s categories- Trustworthiness, Vendor Reliability, Privacy and Child Safety. Still that only goes to show WOT is probably run by blacks or jews.

Something’s fishy about this post, because:

a) it’s completely out of the blue, and not “useful” in any way, shape, or form, and
b) two of the sites are of the same shade ideologically

Methinks someone is showing their true colors under the guise of ‘disliking’ those sites……..

The Jew Watch one actually does have some interesting info about the Russian revolutions, etc… so you’re actually just turning people on to anti-semitism.

Really Ryan? Censorship? CAP sounds more like offering views on movies based on religious convictions that you do not hold. The most dangerous of all? Doesn’t your religion teach you to be accepting of others beliefs, as long as it doesn’t hurt you? Is it just that you hate the christians?
