If you are interested in seeing an independent thriller you need to go and see "Terrible Angeles" at the LA Femme Film Festival Oct. 11th For tickets, go to www.lafemme.org

Film depicts woman’s journey to claim her sanity and the man who has the power to condemn her to life behind bars

"Terrible Angels", a new thriller from writer/director Anthony Pierce and producer/star Una Jo Blade, will have its Los Angeles premiere during the 8th annual LA Femme Film Festival, Oct. 11-14, 2012.

Produced by the Oregon based Thumbscrew Pictures and Toeknee Films, this tough love tale also stars Michael Madsen as Ben Nolan, a detective sent to a state penitentiary to investigate the story of convicted prostitute and known drug dealer Linda Grossel (Blade). Over the course of Nolan’s interview Linda explains that she was abducted and held captive for several weeks by a sadistic man named Justice (Hank Cartwright), who buried several of his other hostages alive. Knowing that Linda’s future is in abeyance but for his decision on her sanity, Ben determines to uncover the truth as he sifts through her elaborate stories. As his investigation unfolds, Ben soon discovers similar stories from other people who are known drug addicts. What ensues is a compelling thriller with paranormal horror undertones that leads to a shocking conclusion.

Una Jo Blade was born in small town Cambridge, Minnesota.. She produced her first short film “Volition” which led her to her first low-budget feature “Scamelot” completed in 2009. She was then hired as Unit Production Manager on a feature film by prolific writer/director Anthony Pierce. Anthony and Una joined forces to work on the feature film “The Speak” starring Tom Sizemore. After the film was completed, Una went into preproduction on “Terrible Angels” starring Michael Madsen.

“ I knew after Anthony and I did “The Speak” that I could not have to fortitude to do another film that was not solely our own, I did not have it in me. “Terrible Angels” is not perfect. But no matter where it falls, I am proud because it is ours.”

“Terrible Angels” has international distribution representation by Igor Princ who will debut it at the marketplace at this year’s American Film Market, October 31- November 7, 2012 in Santa Monica.

The film will screen on Thursday, October 11, 5:30 pm at the Renberg Theater at 1125 N. McCadden Place in Hollywood. The after party, Sponsored by Thumbscrew Pictures and the Hair and Make-Up Network, will be homage to the glory days of Hollywood, including a performance by the Frank Sinatra Band.
