I use Driver max to backup and restore drivers but it only supports Windows XP/Vista where as double driver supports all .

So that’s how they obtain their database of driver. I didn’t know of that before as it has done a good job in updating my drivers. Thanks for informing.

Don’t use DriverMax to update you will get all kinds of nasty drivers from where ever in the world, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, pretty much every where else besides the USA. Huge security risk in my mind.

One final thing I don’t like about it is if you have your own driver it will steal it and upload it to the world. It would be one thing if it asked but it didn’t.

It does do a good job backing up non Microsoft drives but thats it.

I used to love DriverMax but then I started having problems with logging in with my user name and re-registering. So it’s nice to have some new apps to backup my drivers with.
