Tagging is nice for photo albums and stuff so people know who’s who. It really helps rather than having to look back and forth for who is where in a photo with lots of people. If you don’t want to be tagged can’t you just set your privacy settings not to allow it or did they change that?

What exactly are you asking? Did you start sending the wrong video? I don’t think anyone will see it if you interrupted the upload/download before it finished.

You can select privacy settings for each photo you upload. What are the settings for this particular photo? Open the photo from the album and change the settings via the menu on the right. It probably was public and someone happened to find it. I have no idea how someone would randomly find it, but maybe they searched for a keyword you used to describe it.

i just have one question that i cant find an answer to on the internet..
a person that isn’t my friend nor is my friends’ friend just commented on my photo and there isn’t even a tag on that photo (its an ultrasound of my baby). the only thing we have in common is where we went to in high school.
now im very careful so my settings are all in friends only, and i’ve double checked.
this freaked me out. please help. thanks!

Do you have to accept the link to a name? Just don’t pick it and continue writing. You shouldn’t be forced to link to a name.

When I try to tag a person who is not on Facebook, it often automatically links to someone with a similar name who IS on Facebook. That may be one reason people get tag requests from those they do not know.

Question: I want to tag my deceased uncle Joe Jones. When I write in his name, Facebook links it to a current Joe Jones whom I do not know. How to get around this?

Spammers get around this by tagging people in comments on the pictures instead of the picture itself. I wish I had the right to delete other people’s comments on other people’s walls that say nothing more than my name.

One thing I really dislike is people tagging you in a photo they want you to see, just upload the photo and send me a message with the link in! The majority of photos I’m tagged in are “funnies” or “awesomes” that people just want me to look at.
